Taking a little break from carving - I had to stamp out my new Baked With Love stamp on the loaf of banana bread I baked for my mom. She loves the recipe, so I wanted to share it with all of you!


Best Ever Banana Bread

1-3/4 cups all purpose flour
1-1/2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
2 eggs
2 ripe bananas, mashed (1 cup)
½ cup vegetable oil
¼ cup plus one tablespoon buttermilk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

In a large bowl, stir together flour, sugar, baking soda and salt. In another mixing bowl combine eggs, bananas, oil, buttermilk and vanilla; add to flour mixture, stirring just until combined. Fold in nuts. Pour into a greased 9x5x3 loaf pan. Bake at 325ยบ for one hour and 20 minutes on until bread tests done. Cool on wire rack.
